The Curious Photographer

I was judging a photo contest for a local camera club and was asked to put together a short presentation that would showcase my work. This was a daunting task! Here's the presentation. It features images from many genres and highlights locations where I've worked.

A Tiny Thread of Water

The country of Tanzania is not, in general, a dry place.  Even in the central part of the country, rainfall averages about 21 inches (550mm) each year. Yet, in the district of Karatu, rivers are drying up.  Villages like Changarawe do not have their own water wells, so villagers are forced to fetch their water in pails, often from several kilometres away.  This short music video tells a little bit about Changarawe's plight...

Silent Night

There is so much angst.  Everywhere.  We need all the joy and happiness we can find, even when it's not Christmas.  So here's my take on "Silent Night" -- with a dash of hope!
